The WHRN network is pleased to announce on behalf of our sponsors the following opportunities for support to attend the WHRN2026 Research Symposium and Western NSW Researcher of the Year Awards event being held in Orange on 6 and 7 October, 2026.
Applications will be considered from;
Allied Health and Nursing and Medical** clinicians who are working in a regional, rural or remote area and are either interested in enrolling or enrolled in a research higher degree (e.g. Masters, PhD). ** Please note medical staff are only eligible for delegate supported by Marathon Health only.
- First Nations clinicians and health workers with an interest in health research and not receiving any other financial support to attend.
- Other health workers (e.g. Peer workers, Health Care navigators, Psychological Recovery Coaches) with an interest in health research and not receiving any other financial support to attend.
- People who are presenting at the symposium and not receiving any other financial support to attend.
12 packages up to the value of $500 are available sponsored by Three Rivers Department of Rural Health (8), Marathon Health (3) and CWA Evening Branch Bathurst (1).
Eligibility
Open to all staff currently practising in an organisation within the Marathon Health or Three Rivers Department of Rural Health coverage locations.
Please note if you were successful in 2025 you cannot re-apply for financial support in the same category in 2026.
